What We’d like to see more of in 2024 | The Floral Edition

Written By Meghan Shaw

You’re getting married and it’s time to plan for your flowers. While trends will forever ebb and flow, these happen to be our current favorites and the things we'd love to see more of in our plans.
Wild Bouquets
Full of different flowers, both large and small and with tons of texture. They often feature a few large focal flowers like a peony or dahlia, some smaller blooms and textured greens or grass. When held at your belly button, they showcase layers of beautiful petals that mimic nature. It’s wild, it’s asymmetrical, it’s light, it’s airy. It’s our favorite way to make a unique bouquet.

Large Bloom Bouquets
Larger blooms are bold and we’re getting more requests for them in bouquets as the main ingredient of the recipe. There is nothing dainty about this trend, which could involve a large mix of garden roses or dahlias in a tied bouquet. It’s simple and bold.
Meadow Style Installations
These installations sit on the ground and mimic nature’s wild meadows. The design works great for ceremonies, aisleways and window sills. Bonus, they can be easily shifted to a new location during your reception which allows you to get max use.
Locally Grown
We are beyond lucky to have many local flower farmers in our area. The flowers are often grown organically and by individuals who are passionate about farming unique types of blooms. When we shop from these farms we are getting blooms at their height of freshness.

Bold Color
In years past we saw so many people leaning towards neutrals and whites. We now have an influx of brides and grooms looking for color. Peach, hot pink, coral, and orange are big. Neutrals continue to have their place, but color has boldly entered the conversation.
Floating Arbors
Similar to the meadow style ground installations, these arbors create a grounding space for a ceremony, but with height. They are full of florals (or greens) and can stand 4 - 5ft, making them a great natural focal point for exchanging vows and walking down the aisle.
Fruit
For the love of details, we always think of adding fruit to a table scape to keep the interest flowing across the table. We have some figs in our future line up this year and cannot wait to show you what they look like paired with a romantic neutral and warm floral plan.

Ceiling Installations
Going beyond the table centerpieces has become more common. Whether that means draping the ceiling with vines of smilax or creating a floating installation with tons of texture above a dance floor, we’re getting requests that require ladder work and we love it.
The trends will continue to evolve and the classics will forever hold their ground. The creative plans we laid in 2023 for the new year and into 2025 each have their own special place in our books. Each is part of a special love story and we’re excited to use blooms to celebrate the love.  The bold, the neutral, all of it has a place in our creative space.
